Strategist, Out of Home
Job Summary
The candidate will develop and present strategically focused OOH plans for assigned accounts, as well as own the day-to-day logistics in the planning, implementing and maintaining of campaigns. This is a dynamic opportunity to join a forward thinking agency.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• 10% - Administrative

• 20% - Supervision
• Manage Brand Team and vendor relationships
• Participate in strategy development and brainstorming meetings with brand team
• Develop and present strategically focused plans and recommendations, in collaboration with OOH Supervisor/Associate Director
• In depth knowledge of available vendors and media formats in markets relevant to assigned client(s)
• Write department POVs on new opportunities and seek new trends and opportunities within the industry
• Attend vendor meetings and presentations
• Stewardship of OOH media plans from inception through completion including:
• Issuing RFPs to all appropriate vendors
• Negotiate OOH media buys
• Provide back-up research data in support of OOH recommendations
• Provides quintile maps and unit maps in support of recommendation
• Work with Brand Team to ensure plans are on strategy and meet client objectives
• Oversee posting of media to campaign is executed accurately and in a timely manner
• Performs market rides as needed
• Cross check plans and all supporting documents for accuracy (billing, specs, contracts, etc.)
• Manage the contracting process for approved media buys to ensure adherence to process, as well as oversee Assistant Strategist’s follow-up in collecting signed ATBs, counter-signed contracts & sequential liability letters.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Supervises Assistant Strategist’s day to day workload
Knowledge and Skills Required.
• BA/BS Degree
• 1+ year media planning & buying experience
• Must be detail oriented, accurate and have strong organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Understanding of basic media planning terms and concepts such as GRPs, ROI, reach and frequency
• Understanding of TAB measurement methodology as well as various other available media research tools and studies available
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including math proficiency
