Overview
The Inside Sales Representative for HarperCollins Christian Publishing will be part of our direct-to-church sales team. They are responsible for servicing various churches across the nation and presenting pastors and church leaders with the wide range of HCCP products. This position exists to achieve designated sales goals by providing superior sales and marketing support to churches within a designated territory. Additionally, this team member will become familiar with the publishing process and be involved in providing custom books and Bibles for churches within their territory.
Responsibilities
Church Sales
• Achieve individual territory sales targets.
• Achieve overall ChurchSource revenue goals.
• Sell all HarperCollins Christian Publishing (and appropriate HarperCollins Publishing) resources to church customers.
• Convert church leads and prospects to customers.
• Cultivate ongoing purchasing relationships with pastors and ministry leaders.
• Create incremental revenue through upselling, custom opportunities, etc.
• Work closely with Customer Service to ensure seamless communication with and service to churches.
Custom Bibles
• Provide expert product knowledge and consultation to customers who want to customize a Bible to meet their needs.
• Manage the production process with other departments as needed, including quoting, production, and delivery, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Knowledge
Church or ministry knowledge strongly preferred.
Conversant in evangelical Christianity
Publishing industry knowledge is a plus.
Work Experience:
3+ years of experience in direct sales, telesales, or customer service with an upselling component is required.
Education:
High School Diploma is required.
Industry Knowledge:
Knowledge of Christian retail sales and/or sales of church campaigns is highly desired.
