U.S. News is looking for a highly-motivated and proactive Director of Programmatic and Revenue Partnerships to join our growing digital advertising team. Reporting into the VP of Marketing and Sales Strategy, this person will be responsible for programmatic revenue strategy and programmatic optimization education across U.S. News. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a solid understanding of how the digital ecosystem works.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and drive delivery against programmatic revenue objectives and goals
• Daily and monthly reporting on impressions, CPM and revenue by partner, device and delivery against monthly goals
◦ Consult with Sr. Manager of Ad Technology and Platforms on implementation and optimization of new and existing partners
◦ Evaluate new advertising technologies, products and partnerships from a revenue standpoint with an understanding of total business impact
• Critical role in maximizing yield and revenue sitewide
• Lead relationships with key programmatic demand partners (including advertiser and agency trading desks) to drive strategic integrations
• Help define go-to-market strategy for all programmatic offerings
• Programmatic expert internally championing programmatic and training the sales team
• Deliver data-driven insights that encompass market / industry trends, supply and demand dynamics etc.
• Analyze and unify large data sets from both DFP as well as multiple partner platforms in order to make timely and long term business decisions
• Work with Senior Manager of Ad Technology and Platforms on site structure, position values and ad tagging to ensure ability to comprehensively optimize revenue and provide reporting.
• Continuously work to maximize spend from new and existing Programmatic Direct deals
Requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience in digital media, specifically in a hands-on programmatic role at a premium publisher, agency/trading desk or DSP/SSP
• Solid understanding of digital systems including DFP, Adobe Analytics, Moat, Salesforce, Salesforce DMP
• Experience working with header bidders required
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, strategic and problem solving skills
• BA/BS College degree or equivalent required
