The Analytics Director will oversee analytics for Conde Nast. This is a critical role to move our analytics infrastructure, capabilities, and insights forward. The Director will work with departments across the company to foster a data driven culture.
Responsibilities:
• Lead & mentor a team of analytics experts across multiple disciplines. Drive training programs for the broader analytics org.
• Develop data strategies (e.g. what we should capture to drive business growth) and focus on data governance.
• Manage first party analytics vendor relationships and maximize use of analytics tools across the organization.
• Manage the cross-company KPI program, supporting brand teams with estimates, setting goals and monitoring performance.
• Drive dash-boarding & visualization to monitor brand health & overall business health. Promote reporting efficiency through automation.
• Lead product analytics team to continue to execute on our vision to drive product development based on ROI.
• Maximize consumer led business by leveraging data across affiliates, consumer marketing and lead generation businesses.
• Oversee analytics support across Business Development & Corporate strategy
• Understand cross network content performance & distribution channel performance against KPI/Goals.
• Provide strategic recommendations to improve content efficiency & distribution.
Required Skills:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in analytics. Experience working with editorial/content, marketing, and product/technical teams is a big plus.
• 5+ years of experience in managing a team.
• Must have excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong results oriented team player with a passion for driving cross functional collaboration.
• Ability to apply cutting edge analytics techniques to business problems and to leverage external thinking.
• Experience with reporting and analysis with a major web analytics tool such as Google Analytics and Omniture. Proficiency with SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau/Looker/Qlikview a plus.
• Ability to clearly articulate and present initiatives to creative and technical teams alike.
