Summary
Do you love Washington D.C. and the local businesses that make it so stellar? Do you have a knack for guerrilla marketing techniques, social media strategy, and networking? As Washington D.C.'s Local Business Partner you’ll launch and captain a vibrant community of business owners, marketers and social media mavens looking for tips to help them continue to grow. You’ll be tasked with a slew of to-dos – everything from event planning and content creation to public speaking, networking and community management – and will work from Washington, D.C., home, and anywhere with excellent wifi, to help small and medium-sized businesses thrive. Local business professionals are passionate about the work they do – and Yelp’s Local Business Partners are too!
About You:
• You love the great local businesses in your city and you have a vivacious, outgoing personality
• You are a gifted communicator who can do it with clarity, conviction, and a human panache
• You are great with solving complex problems, planning, and flexing your creative muscle
• You have 2+ years of post-graduate professional experience
• You thrive in unstructured work environments
About The Job:
• Community Management
• Build a thriving network of local business owners in your city by coming up with creative ways to connect with them on a regular basis
• Event Planning
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute a series of events to connect business owners with resources that help them succeed
• Marketing Outreach
• Act as a Yelp For Business Owners expert and brand ambassador by educating SMBs and local organizations on the power of claiming their free Yelp Business User Account and downloading the Yelp Biz App
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute new marketing campaigns to increase awareness of Yelp for Business Owners and to drive key metrics in your market
• Content Creation
• Write engaging copy, including: blogs and local trade publication articles
• Create engaging videos for social media
• Cross Functional Communication
• Manage cross functional communications to internal teams connecting with business owners in your market including: sales reps, community managers, and engineers
Other Requirements:
• You live in Washington D.C. + you have a deep understanding of the local market and are willing to relocate
• You have experience with social networking, guerilla marketing tactics, and event planning
• You have 2+ years of experience marketing to or working with SMBs
• 4-year college/university degree
