Description
Business Intelligence Analyst, Ad Operations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, external vendors, and other key stakeholders to help improve products, systems and streamline processes in quote-to-cash systems
• Work with Director to manage projects to change or streamline quote-to-cash systems, including gathering data from teams across IGN, writing specifications, and implementing changes through internal teams or external vendors
• Provide training for new systems implementations to Sales, Ad Operations, Finance, Product or Engineering teams
• Document Systems related processes and features
• Analyze complex data, sales results, utilization of capacity to discover potential revenue opportunities and diagnose revenue-impacting challenges and inventory/revenue gaps.
• Identify areas for automation and/or streamline processes
• Identify and drive, with Director, Ad Ops, standardization and automation of current reporting, including developing new and unique reporting capabilities; manage projects across internal and external teams to implement reporting.
• Review and approve orders and change orders in OMS; review and approve inventory levels.
• Analyze advertising performance to provide strategic optimization alerts and recommendations to Campaign Management and Sales teams.
• Improve yield by providing input on product mix, inventory availability, and pricing to Sales team, focusing on identifying trends such as seasonality, events, and launches.
• Publish the inventory forecast and monitor the accuracy of total inventory capacity and availability; work with Director, Ad Ops to specify and develop automated reports for Sales, Product and Executive teams.
• Run daily, weekly and monthly reports as necessary
Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years experience in Advertising Operations or Product Analysis role in the advertising media, internet or high tech industry
• Experience working with workflow or quote-to-cash systems
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel; VBA programming a plus
• Exposure to SQL/Relational databases and BI tools like Tableau
• Experience with product yield and inventory management in Ad Operations or similar department
• Ability to analyze data sets, provide high level reporting and analysis to solve inventory issues
• Strong project management skills with the proven ability to work independently, take full ownership of projects and manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate and drive project across multiple departments (Engineering, Product Development, Operations and Sales) and multiple stakeholders
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and similar reporting tools
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems in a fast moving and changing environment
