This position is responsible for providing comprehensive Human Resources support and strategic guidance to the Gaming Field Service organization. The HR Business Partner will effectively play an integral part of the assigned business unit team by developing effective working relationships, influencing, and guiding Management in support of the company business and Human Resources objectives. This position is responsible for managing HR policies, programs and practices under the direction of their Senior HR Leadership at the Divisional Level for multi-site, multi-state business units within the organization.
• Specific areas of responsibility include managing and executing HR initiatives within assigned division including Employee Relations, Performance Management, Organizational Effectiveness, HR Compliance, Recruiting, Training and Development as directed.
• Implement and communicate policies and procedures for employee relations, recruitment, hiring, terminations, training, benefits, worker’s compensation, payroll, FMLA, and EEO Harassment, etc.
• Influence the strategic agenda by building relationships at key levels across the organization.
• Respond to Employee Relations issues and conduct Investigations for employee complaints, harassment allegations, wrongful termination claims, DOL claims and performance management issues.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and/or State labor and employment regulation changes.
• Coach and counsel employees and management regarding employee relations concerns, such as addressing performance management issues, work complaints or other employee challenges.
• Equip Management team with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage employees.
• Act as an influential business advisor with all levels of management to identify strategic people issues, support them with advice and expertise to resolve these matters in order to add value and drive impactful business results.
• Manage, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives within the organization in order to improve business efficiency and people management.
• Work in coordination with other areas of HR to recommend, develop, and implement programs to sustain positive employee morale, increase employee retention and support overall company objectives.
• Confer with management and supervisors to identify recruiting needs, jobs specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
• Facilitate implementation and education of existing HR policies and contribute to the development of new HR policies and procedures, consult and deliver new/amended policies and procedures into the business area.
• Train and respond to inquiries regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
• Assist in the development and facilitation of HR Training programs.
• Create and maintain appropriate HRIS reports and metrics that can be used to identify areas of improvement/progress.
• Drives and executes other HR related initiatives as required.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Human Resources Certification a plus
Required Experience:
• 3 + years of Human Resource Management experience with multi-unit, multi-state responsibilities.
Preferred Experience:
• Workday HCM
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Strong working knowledge of HR principles, methods and procedures and Federal and State employment law including FMLA, COBRA, HIPPA and ADA and EEOC regulations.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and influence skills in dealing with all levels of management and is effective at developing strong credibility and working relationships.
• Excellent and Effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Must have an understanding of Talent Management, Organizational Development and Succession Planning programs and best practices.
• Must have ability to exercise independent judgment, handle highly confidential information, multi-task in high volume, fast paced work environment with strict deadlines using critical thinking.
• Ability to work self-directed, multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with strict deadlines while demonstrating strong critical thinking, problem solving skills and a sense of urgency.
• Action and detail oriented, strong customer service skills and drive for results, must be a team player.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite required and proficiency in Oracle preferred.
