Description
The Studio/Office Manager keeps Midroll humming. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, and working with the CEO, Head of Content and studio members as needed. You'll oversee operations in our NY Office, making sure every employee, show host, guest, new hires, candidates, and every client feels welcomed, and generally making it possible for us to provide a great, efficient work environment that supports great content and gets into the ears of our fans on time
This job is dynamic and ever-changing, with plenty of room for growth. You'll be involved in many aspects of the business, including:
• Greeting visitors and guests with thoughtfulness, quickly alerting staff when they've arrived, and offering water, snacks and other necessities.
• Managing setup and logistics of Midroll's office; keep our space stocked and productive.
• Handling all ingoing and outgoing shipping, i.e. FedEx, UPS, etc., and Coordinate maintenance with building staff.
• Troubleshooting issues related to network connectivity, printing, etc.
• Processing invoices, expenses, etc. for production freelancers, guests, candidates, etc.
• Coordinating travel for guests, candidates, and new employees, and assist with new employee onboarding, office events, etc.
• Manage studio and office scheduling and calendars.
• Work with engineers and producers to make production efficient and minimize last-minute complications.
• Space planning and advising on new facilities structuring, especially as we grow.
• Provide general support for visitors and guests.
• Maintain the appearance of common areas, conference rooms, kitchen, and storage area to ensure the office is clean and presentable at all times.
• Be in tune with the office needs; come up with creative and efficient solutions.
• Be in touch with the building and cleaning staff promptly whenever a problem arises.
• Be the person who has all the Midroll office answers.
You should have:
• A love of podcasting and audio, and a strong interest in helping the medium grow and thrive. We would be happy to hear you aspire to have a long career in this business.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfort with Excel, web-based CRM and project management tools, and content management systems (e.g. WordPress), Slack, google suite, etc.
• Knowledge of and/or prior experience with audio production is a plus.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure and manage several projects at once.
