Macmillan Learning is pleased to announce an opening for a Part Time Marketing Manager position to represent our Curriculum Solutions (custom division). The Curriculum Solutions division is responsible for delivering customized course solutions that include derivative content from the Macmillan imprints of Bedford/St. Martin’s, Worth Publishers, W. H. Freeman and Hayden-McNeil Lab Solutions as well as original content course solutions. The Curriculum Solutions Marketing Manager will collaborate with marketing managers across all lists to promote customization of established content in both print and digital format. This position can be based remotely and will report to the Executive Marketing Manager for Curriculum Solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Collaborate on the creation and execution of internal and external strategic marketing plans, in coordination with Executive Marketing Manager for Curriculum Solutions and the discipline-marketing managers.
• Communicate regularly with the sales force regarding the custom initiatives, competition, important/key adoptions, and sales strategies.
• Manage the marketing of select Hayden-McNeil featured titles including coordination with Hayden-McNeil managing editors to obtain key information on updates for Macmillan website.
• Help to coordinate, develop, and communicate essential product information working with editors, authors, Custom Specialists and the advertising group.
• Coordinate our presence at academic conferences and other impact events.
• Tracking and internal reporting on key sales contest initiatives.
• Development of marketing case studies for promotion on websites and as internal sales tools.
• Manage execution of digital marketing opportunities including website management, email marketing, and customer relationship management.
Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Product knowledge and proven success in sales and/or marketing.
• Demonstrated proficiency with technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to close adoptions.
Experience Needed:
• 3-5 years of successful sales or marketing experience in college publishing.
• Experience with digital marketing techniques including email marketing, contextual marketing, website development, web analytics, and customer relationship management is a plus.
Educational Background Required:
Bachelor's degree
