1. When necessary, systematically review existing processes with the vision to introduce new or improved processes that lead to increased efficiency as well as accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
2. Under the direction of management, independently develop new projects, as per gathered requirements, while ensuring the quality and accuracy of the related database for the sales department.
3. Work proactively with managerial staff and end-users to develop effective and accessible reporting solutions which could include designing and maintaining a wide variety of more complex reports.
4. Understands all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to new Salesforce release upgrades.
5. Work closely with project managers, developers, and external implementation partners to design, configure, and build new Salesforce applications while being intimately involved with issue resolution, quality assurance as well as new project rollouts.
6. Respond to ad hoc data requests for operational reports, including generating complex queries for exports, performing updates and enhancements/fixes for existing systems while also managing security settings and executing configuration changes.
7. Create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation and system triggers as well as a wide variety of alerts, many of which include the use of Visualforce and HTML.
8. Data cleansing and importation of large volumes of data including mastery of the Data Loader tool for inserting, updating, upserting and deleting of Salesforce data.
9. Write technical documentation for existing and proposed systems (e.g., requirements, specifications, user manuals and how-to guides) as well as analyze and document complex business processes.
10. Manage data quality via cleanup (deletion & updating), complex validation rules, field dependency, workflow rules, field updates etc.
11. Build applications and/or processes in the Sandbox environment, test and deploy to production via Outbound Change Sets. This must include Web Portals where data is captured from the web or exposed to the web.
12. Train/mentor/assist Salesforce Administrator colleague and/or interns when necessary.
Scope
Supports approximately 100 users. This includes Management, Account Executives and support roles on the Residential and Commercial Direct Sales teams as well as users in the Sales Support, Business Planning, Commissions, Sales Operations, Wi-Fi and Government affairs departments.
1. Minimum of 5 years of proven Salesforce Administration experience working within standardized System Development Life Cycle practices for Salesforce Enterprise edition or higher.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
3. Keen attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective.
4. Energetic, self-motivated candidate with high productivity, creative problem solving skills, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, internal customers, high-level staff and external vendors, with a strong customer service orientation, good writing skills, and the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
6. Some experience in SFDC development environments including Apex, Triggers, S-Controls, Visualforce, Javascript and HTML.
7. Must become familiar with the mobile applications used by the sales departments and be able to work with managers and end-users to troubleshoot issues while users are in the field.
8. Must have the ability to work directly with other programmers in the department to build integrations (field mapping, etc) and make necessary modifications to all existing ETL’s and modifications to mobile applications, including coordinating application re-deployment to the sales team.
9. Experienced with Microsoft Office, especially Access and Excel. Must work with complex functions, formulas, tables and SQL for manipulating data for reporting, analysis and Salesforce data manipulation.
10. Experienced with Macro Express, with the ability to write macros that run automated reporting from the billing system and from Salesforce.
