PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Who We Are:
2K develops and publishes interactive entertainment globally for console systems, handheld gaming devices and personal computers, including smartphones and tablets. 2K is a leading publisher of today’s most popular gaming genres and most well-known for critically acclaimed game franchises like NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, Evolve, XCOM and the beloved Sid Meier’s Civilization.
What We Need:
We are looking for an energetic and passionate person to work on one of 2K Game’s upcoming AAA titles. Are you interested in the video game industry? Do you have a passion for working on extremely high quality and high profile games? The ideal candidate for this position should be very knowledgeable about video games, have a passion for teamwork and feel at home with a controller in their hand.
What You Will Do:
• Play iterative builds and analyze/report issues and progress to the Product Development team
• Keep managers appraised of status on assigned tasks and escalate problems as needed
• Document competing product through competitive analysis
• Organize market research on behalf of the Product Development team
• Coordinate and assist with focus testing, outsourcing and other external parties
• Support Product Development team via daily requests for file transfers, disc burning, build management and other tasks
• Assist in material gathering for age ratings and Legal Clearance
• Take notes; follow up on action items and assignments from meetings to ensure they are completed on schedule
• Be available for overtime and weekend work, as required
• Administrative functions as required by the development team; organizing meetings, ordering equipment, contributing to production processes, and ordering supplies for the team
• Hardware and software set-up for team members, including trouble-shooting or fixing technical issues as they arise
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office (and in particular, Excel)
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to remain focused and productive in team environment
• Ability to learn quickly and effectively
• Knowledge of the game development process is preferred
• Basic understanding of computer science, or college level mathematics
• Thorough understanding of video games – you should be a gamer!
