Role Summary:
As a (senior) member of Account Planning for HMH’s new in-house agency, you’ll develop strategic marketing campaigns, realizing and opening opportunities across accounts. Reporting to the Director of Account Planning, you will research and represent the voice of the consumer, design strategic plans, deliver inspiring briefs and help develop creative solutions to meet your product line’s business challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop campaign strategy and multi-channel marketing campaign calendars across a line of HMH K-12 solutions by collaborating with content marketing, digital marketing, and creative teams.
• Collects and curates relevant research relating to your respective brands, market/consumer, and competition. Connects research, customer analytics and market trends to uncover meaningful insights. Participates in and, at times, lead brainstorms to develop strategic concepts.
• Crafts a clearly defined campaign brief that inspires creative work. Provides compelling communications strategies with the ability to clearly articulate them in a confident and persuasive manner to clients and teams.
• Stays on top of digital and marketing best practices to facilitate cost effective, innovative, campaign efforts, across multiple channels.
• Cultivates client trust and relationships based on demonstrated expertise in given content area and ever-growing knowledge of digital marketing best practices.
• Sets campaign KPIs and shares campaign results with product marketing and account management to modify efforts and spend.
Education & Experience:
• Education Level and or relevant experience
◦ Bachelors degree or higher (MBA a plus)
◦ 3+ years of experience in strategic planning preferred
◦ Experience marketing B2B solutions preferred (education publishing industry preferred)
◦ Project Management experience preferred
• Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
◦ Proven track record in developing compelling creative work for complex clients and businesses
◦ Experience developing strong client relationships
◦ Excellent research and analytical thinking skills
◦ Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
◦ Expertise in digital channels and marketing
Physical Requirements:
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
