Requirements
Position Description:
Tor Books (Tom Doherty Associates, LLC) is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Assistant located in their New York, NY office. This individual will work closely with various groups (marketing, sales, editor, art, IT) across the company to coordinate the development and implementation of online marketing programs. This person will report to the Digital Marketing Manager.
Major Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns for Tor Books, Forge, and Tor Teen imprints
• Maintain and update content on any social media sites where Tor/Forge has a presence (ex: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Goodreads, Pinterest, Snapchat)
• Create content and write blog posts for the Tor/Forge and Tor Teen blogs
• Monitor and record stats for digital campaigns
• May include administrative duties for the department including billing, data entry, and book mailings
Required Skills / Knowledge:
• MS Office, Wordpress basics, Photoshop
◦ Dreamweaver or Basic HTML preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects – good planning and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently
• Creative writing experience a plus
• Familiarity with social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
• Comfortable with learning new technologies
Experience Needed:
• 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
