Job Title:
Media Planner
Job Summary:
As Media Planner, you function as a key member of the Media Team and are responsible for the day-to-day deliverables and maintenance of media campaigns. You will assist in the development of media program strategies and analysis for clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain media plans for clients by ensuring deliverables are met and align with clients goals and objectives
• Ensure sites proper launch of the campaign working closely with operations, account management and creative teams
• Participate in client status calls providing any media updates and overall status of running campaigns
• Oversee campaign’s results analysis and help translate information into observations/lessons learned
• Recommend and perform media optimizations through propriety tracking software to improve current campaigns and ensure goals are being met
• Maintain appropriate and responsive working relationships sales representatives and partners to identify potential opportunities, and also negotiate best ad rates and added value
• Compile and coordinate research data and media/marketing information
• Provide mentorship to Assistant Media Planners.
• Monitor client billing, and resolve any related issues
• Reports to Media Manager or Senior Media Manager
Experience Guidelines:
• 2 years of media planning, buying and reporting experience
• Strong client facing skills
• Ability to provide Quality Control over work.
• Strong knowledge of media planning tools such Adrelevance, @plan, Nielsen Net Ratings, MRI, Strategy and Comscore
• Ability to develop a media plan, and coordinate launch of a media campaign with minimum direction
• Develop and maintain media plans for clients by ensuring deliverables are met and align with clients goals and objectives
• Programmatic buying experience
• Analytics/media reporting experience (DM, performance based)
• Must have strong business writing, presentation, and client-service skills
• Must have organizational and quantitative/analytical skills including experience with media forecasting and analysis
• Team player, dynamics, and dependability are a MUST
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent military experience
