Position Overview
The Senior Business Analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
Responsibilities
• Provides analysis, research and support with the development of new business process, new application systems, software support and applications maintenance in order to create and implement new Information Technology business applications.
• Collects and analyzes business requirements for large, multifunctional projects. Gathers information on projects or groups to be supported, provided analysis on processes and applications, and makes recommendations for internal or external software process development. Interviews end users, management and customers to provide an accurate analysis of the business flow and develop and document the scope of the project. Performs feasibility studies, translating requirements into appropriate design.
• Evaluates application software packages and makes recommendations to management.
• Provides end user training, develops process instructions, and assists in the development of users’ system documentation. Works with all of the end users ensuring appropriate training and support to maintain business work flow and operating systems’ integrity.
• Remains informed of existing and evolving industry standards and technologies by developing relationships with vendors, consultants, and professional associations.
• Provides project management and change management skills for supporting business process and system process reengineering
• Provides documentation skill, communication skill and presentation skill to expedite new business process and new business applications implementation.
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, combined with 4-7 years of experience.
