Job Summary:
The Multi-Market Graphic Designer is responsible for completing spec requests, preparing print ready outdoor art, overseeing production, sales support and assisting with other art-related projects for the Clear Channel Outdoor, Northern California Region offices.
Responsibilities:
• Takes conceptual direction from Creative Director and collaborates and assists in the development, design and creation of region's outdoor media ads to meet client’s marketing objectives.
• Helps Creative Director and art department to develop speculative artwork for the proposal process on a Local and National campaigns to influence buys.
• Checks artwork against printer’s specifications for multiple formats and preps files for production.
• Acts as graphic expert to counsel clients on corporate identity and design standards/policies to determine appropriate advertising campaign.
• Utilizes research of CCO digital image library, stock photography, as well as client provided assets, including website, photography and logos in development of creative.
• Checks files against specifications in preparation for posting on digital inventory
• Maintains and updates brand guidelines throughout collateral materials.
• Follows policies and procedures set up by the local market management and corporate directives.
• Attends and participates in branch and company-wide meetings/events as directed.
• Maintains an archive of artwork/photos/creative resources to be shared with team on internal server.
• Utilizes file transfer services to efficiently send and receive files within and outside of branch.
• Be available to venture outside the office to capture still and motion photography in environment.
Work Experience:
• 3+ years of experience working with sales and marketing teams, ideally in the media/advertising environment. Or, comparable experience working independently with a strong client base.
• A high quality portfolio showcasing a wide breadth of client-based work.
Skills:
• Outstanding design skills including (but not limited to): typography, large format layout, photo composition, designing for print and digital.
• Strong organizational/time management skills.
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Ability to follow directions meticulously working with artwork in proportionate scales.
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro & After Effects a plus
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, delivering high quality results under the pressure of tight deadlines, with routinely quick turn around times
• Be personable, able to present and speak about process of work.
• Have a collaborative and professional style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse customer groups and vendors.
• Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
• Able to complete required math calculations (e.g., multiply, divide, rate, ratio, percent, produce/interpret bar graphs.)
• Flexibility, possible travel to and from Sacramento to Bay Area may be necessary.
• Team player, must be open to working in tandem with both designers and non designers.
• Understanding and knowledge of current design and media trends in advertising both in OOH landscape as well as others (TV, digital, print, etc.)
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising Design, Graphic Design or Communication Design.
