Description
Forbes is looking for a Senior E-Commerce Editor to join the commerce team in our Jersey City, NJ, office. The position, reporting into the VP of Audience Development, will help refine and drive the e-commerce content strategy while maintaining the kind of quality content that has made Forbes a global media brand.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in executing the overall content strategy for commerce
• Write, edit and produce commerce content that aligns with the brand’s voice
• Help identify new opportunities and drive brainstorming sessions to build content strategies against the opportunities
• Develop a continuously evolving stream of fresh angles and new ideas
• Utilize analytics tools to monitor performance and turn it into actionable items
• Coordinate with the writers to help prep and schedule articles in the CMS
• Work with the Assistant Commerce Editor to find, recruit and set up new contributors
• Act as a mentor to Assistant Commerce Editor
• Coordinate with audience development team to optimize articles for maximum traffic potential.
Requirements:
• 3 - 5 year of relevant work experience in digital journalism or related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flawless grasp of spelling and grammar
• Team player with all-hands-on-deck attitude and an entrepreneurial mind-set
• Knowledge of Google Analytics or Adobe Sitecatalyst
• Bachelor's Degree required
