JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manager of Business Intelligence will be responsible for planning and implementing BI tools, developing self-serving reporting solutions to drive real-time information sharing and business decision-making for Fox Digital Consumer Group (DCG). He/she is responsible for gathering detailed business requirements from stakeholders to support the design and development of BI dashboards that meet the business needs. He/she will also partner with Tech teams to establish DCG data strategy and data governance policies/process to optimize the usage of big data in our data lake and data warehouse.
Responsibilities
• Gather data and reporting requirements across business units such as Marketing, Product, Content, Commercial, and Customer Services. Define and communicate requirements to the engineering and digital solution design teams.
• Develop and automate reporting dashboards to deliver insights and to drive self-serving BI solution. Create new innovative and insightful reports in a timely manner.
• Actively manage projects to deliver scale-able enterprise BI solutions that meet data, reporting and analytical needs of the organization.
• Establish BI platform from our Data Warehouse (Red-shift) to BI reporting tool (Looker) and evaluate future BI tools. Continually improve ongoing reporting processes through simplification and automation.
• Collaborate with the Tech team and business to develop DCG data strategy and data governance processes. Monitor and maintain BI platform data quality
• Work closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Analytics teams to identify and integrate new data sources into DCG data warehouse.
• Recommendation to improve marketing programs and product development based on customer, viewership and funnel reporting.
• Business requirements for performance tracking reports in order to properly deliver insights and measurement.
• BI reporting tools selection
• Establish data strategy to align with business needs, and data governance processes for DCG data assets
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Business Management or related fields.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with business intelligence and analytics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills. Demonstrate initiative and ownership of tasks and projects.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in cross functional teams.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Expert knowledge of data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.), and experience of building large scale and high performance BI platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and reporting automation process.
• Experience with digital analytics tools (Adobe Analytics and Omniture Suite)
• Experience with big data platform (AWS, Spark, Hadoop) preferred.
• Experience with analytics programming languages such as Python, R, SAS preferred.
