Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Events & Venue Partnerships will report to the Senior Vice President of Events & Venue Partnerships and will be an integral team member in leading and supporting sales efforts of the iHeartRadio national tent-pole events, Theaters and custom event opportunities through lead generation, cold calling and generating new revenue.
Required Skills:
• Lead sponsorship sales for the following tent-pole events by developing new relationships and generating new revenue for:
◦ iHeartRadio ALTer EGO, iHeartRadio Music Awards, iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Wango Tango, iHeartRadio Music Festival & Daytime Village, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, iHeartRadio Theaters (NY/LA) & Custom Events
• Work to meet & exceed yearly sponsorship revenue budget
• Work closely with and provide support for both local & national groups to help sell tent-pole events, Theaters & custom events to existing clients and top 100 accounts
• Attend & lead sales meetings where appropriate and help craft internal and external documents, manage internal next steps and client facing decks and LOIs
• Maintain current knowledge of sponsorship industry landscape, market trends, key category activity across music, sports & entertainment
• Collaborate with cornerstone departments and cross functional teams, ensuring communication and information flow timely and effectively, and execution of strategy on all projects remains consistent
• Maintain Salesforce entries for respective accounts and other sales reporting tools as needed
Required Experience:
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 - 7 years of sponsorship sales experience for an event property, music property, music platform, sports property, lifestyle property or similar position with a focus and knowledge of brand sponsorships
• Proven track record in sponsorship and media sales with strong focus on developing corporate partnerships.
• Must possess a significant number of established relationships in the corporate industry.
• Professional presence, astute business sense, and a demonstrated ability of generating sales leads and closing business
• Solution oriented, highly motivated and proactive self-starter who works well as both team member and individual contributor
• Outstanding organizational skills, ability to follow through, and capable of meeting deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities
• Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
