Business Manager – Creator Business Analysis

We are looking for a Business Manager that will join the business analysis team powering our Creator marketplace organization. You will help form, validate, and incubate key strategic bets believed in by our leadership related to the music industry, and the creators within it. Your work will help influence the priorities and projects undertaken by our R&D teams facing the music ecosystem. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.
What you’ll do:
• Inspire and develop our Creator business analysis team, who provide business strategy, framework and modeling, and value-added guidance and insights to the different areas of the Creator marketplace organization
• Build sustainable relationships across the business, R&D and FP&A
• Be accountable for the business case modeling and analytics provided by the Creator business analysis team
• Be accountable for Creator business analysis team delivery in cross-functional company projects and initiatives
• Build frameworks and tools to optimize product-specific initiatives as well as support new areas of exploration within our field
• Support the Head of Creator business analysis in, and also independently run, ad-hoc projects to analyze and understand business implications of proposed decisions
• Be a thought-leader and trend expert, helping inform our R&D roadmap based on externally observed trends
• Work from our Office in New York
Who you are:
• Degree in Business, Finance, Statistics or related field
• Typical relevant experience would be 5-7+ years in Business Strategy, Corporate Finance or Financial Planning, possibly combined with experience from financial institution
• Experience from a public fast moving large, international corporation
• Strong communication/presentation skills with a track record of presenting complex analysis to executives/senior management
• Advanced Excel user and strong overall system knowledge
• Music industry knowledge or experience a big plus
• Excellent ability to build relationships and networks with multiple functions, regions, and at all levels of the organization
• Being adaptive and having the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
