The Role:
Live Nation is looking for an experienced software engineering leader to help create and implement a technical development strategy for our Live Nation branded websites and app experiences. This is an entrepreneurial role on a small but growing team with the resources, exposure and customer base of the world’s leading live entertainment company. You will be the principal technical architect/developer for our digital platform while helping us build out our engineering team to support that platform. You will be working with stakeholders, product, internal devs, agency partners and 3rd party technology providers to provide a world class experience for Concert fans.
Responsibilities:
• Work with VP of Product and other stakeholders to set platform strategy
• Communicate technical architecture decisions to non-technical stakeholders and partners
• Ensure scalability of highly visible consumer facing products and backend services
• Participate in recruiting diverse top-tier engineering talent
• Hands-on technical mentorship of engineers participating in architecture design, code review, pair programming, and implementation of proven software design patterns
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get down and dirty with full stack development efforts (front end and back end) code development.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams
• Mastery of full-stack development, including modern web technologies and architectures
• Experience with guiding re-platforming/large scale data migrations would be ideal
• Should have experience with setting up Cloud-based servers/databases
• React experience/knowledge as it will likely be front in framework
• familiar with test automation methodologies/software (eg Selenium)
• Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams.
• Adept at articulating the product vision and drive the future roadmap with strong business acumen
• Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders. Good communicator comfortable presenting technical information to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrable experience with performance optimization
• Experience with large-scale ecommerce other large-scale digital distribution systems application is a plus
• Experience working with AWS technologies
• Strong software development process background, preferably using Agile
