We are looking for someone to manage our local distribution and support our Logistics operations in the Metrowest area. This role’s primary focus will be to manage a local 60K sq. ft warehouse that services New England Customers, local retail stores and Corporate needs with an experienced team. There will also be expectations to oversee small third party managed operations, a small private fleet and support ad hoc logistics projects and analysis. Role will be accountable for operational, financial and customer performance and demonstrate continuous improvement, striving toward operational excellence. A successful candidate will be adaptable, flexible, and willing to work independently on cross functional teams to meet customer/business expectations.
Key duties include:
General:
• Strategically plan, lead and manage warehouse, shipping, receiving and logistics operations for the local warehouse facility.
• Drive and inspire continuous improvement and meeting customer SLAs.
• Achieve departmental financial, quality and service objectives by contributing to the annual planning process; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions, programs and processes to drive down operating expenses or improve processes.
• Ensure that resource needs are communicated clearly to the team and aligned with upper management.
Warehousing:
• Lead the team to optimize receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
• Report operational and cost performance.
• Develop and maintain excellent interpersonal, collaborative relations with internal and external customers.
• Develop and maintain department operational hours and staffing that support current and ongoing customer requirements.
• Interface and collaborate with the Purchasing and Sales groups to maintain supply chain consistency.
• Coordinate with third party providers on consolidating product returns.
• Ensure that all customer orders, internal (DSD) and external, are entered, picked, staged, loaded, and shipped in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicates in excellence all variances to committed service/fill rate expectations to all stakeholders.
• Lead inventory management i.e. reconciliation.
• Work closely with Finance and Accounting regarding the financial implication of transactional variances, cycle count adjustments, etc.
• Manage and direct staff, as responsible, to cycle count inventory of all finished goods, recording counts on cycle count sheets, and adjusting the perpetual inventory, and driving improvement via root cause analysis.
Logistics:
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes such as Customer Service, Purchasing and Finance.
• Direct Bose Fleet Operations, such as transport and warehouse activities, safety/security performance and logistics quality management.
• Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes and carriers.
• Recommend and implement optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment and frequency in support of operational targets to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products and supplies
• Develop and manage effective third party relationships and programs in support of business needs and a continuous improvement mentality.
• Manage fleet transport operations, ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

OB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education/Experience
• 5 years of experience in distribution & warehouse management & logistics, including managing 3PL relationships in excellence.
• BA/BS in Supply Chain / Business / Operations or related field.
Critical Skills and Expertise
• Proven track record and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and inspire people to enable change and continuous improvements
• Proven ability to lead teams and work under tight deadlines
• Strong personal initiative and self-accountability
• Strong ability to drive results through own actions, teamwork and collaboration; Results oriented, metrics and measures (KPI) driven
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Internal and external customer advocate
• Strong process orientation
• Demonstrated ability to lead by building trust, transparency and consistent open, honest communication.
• Knowledge of relevant government regulations in the transportation industry & safety compliance.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP operating software
