Coordinator, Preschool Production & Development- Nickelodeon
Overview and Responsibilities
The Nickelodeon Preschool Production and Development Department oversees the creative development and production of preschool pilots and series. The team is responsible for 14 shows such as Paw Patrol.
Responsibilities
• Provide overall creative and organizational help to support the EICs and development executives, with the creation of presentation decks in Power Point, organizing and tracking materials for projects in series, development and for pitches.
• Support Sr. Development Executive on all new projects in development, both creatively and logistically.
• Liaise with productions and other departments to route assets, artwork, and production materials for distribution and feedback.
• Help arrange meetings and conference calls with other departments
• Provide research support on all projects
• Oversee Award submission process interfacing with the internal awards department and external creators
• Route scripts to Standards & Practices for approval
• Coordinate other departmental projects as needed
• Coordinate events for writers’ recruitment, screenings and other events, parties, offsites.
• Log and evaluate pitches to determine if they meet the mandates of the Network
• Be a departmental representative when attending local industry events
• Provide and summarize creative notes on pitches, outlines, scripts, cuts and casting for projects in development and series in current series when required.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in the TV/entertainment business and strong background in art and design.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, , Word, Excel), Photoshop, Illustrator Quicktime, and iMovie
• Passion for Children’s TV and Content
