SO, WHATS THE JOB?
The Velocity Culture and Creative Insights is a full-service centralized team dedicated to inspiring and delivering marketing excellence across Velocity. The team is looking for a Social Media Insights & Analytics expert to help us use data and insights to power and inform our strategies. The role will report to the Senior Director of Social Media Insights & Research and will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams including campaign activation teams, business and creative strategy, marketing and communication, and thought leadership teams.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and data analysis expert specializing in measuring social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. He or she will be an experienced user of social data analytics interfaces including but not limited to Facebook & Instagram Insights, Twitter Analytics. They should have a keen interest or passion in using predictive intelligence tools (Crimson Hexagon, Spredfast Intelligence, Tubular, and Nielsen Social) to discover emerging trends and determine actionable insights.
THE DAY TO DAY:
• Track, measure, and analyze the performance of social media sponsored campaigns using proprietary and third-party analytics tools.
• Communicate findings in thoughtful, timely share-out reporting to internal teams, partner agencies, senior management and others.
• Support internal cross functional business teams by creating social media dashboards and marketing reports with actionable recommendations to help inform holistic marketing strategies
• Proactively educate internal and external teams on data sources, tools stacks, and reporting approaches and methodology.
• Become an expert in trends and knowledge by partnering with research and data strategy teams to gather audience, targeting, and campaign data that inspires marketing excellence across Velocity.
• Vet internal social and research data requests, evaluate tools set to leverage, and transform into an actionable and timely deliverable.
• Collaborate with the Advanced Advertising teams in the creation and development of data measurement products.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum of 4-5 years of social media insights & analytics experience for a major brand or company (client-side or agency side)
• Expert MS Office skills, including advanced Excel (i.e. Pivot Tables, Vlookup and IF Function)
• Keen interest in forecasting trends through predictive and people analytics and sentiment analysis.
• Must have solid experience in the creation and presentation of marketing strategy, data and creative decks tailored to their audience that have the ability to tell a story convincingly.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Must be agile and flexible, and stay ahead of trends, platform changes and new digital/social platforms as they happen
• Outstanding communication with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work collaboratively
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment; flexible and adaptable to change
