The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson offers dynamic teacher licensing and performance assessment solutions. Our custom teacher licensure testing programs are 100 percent aligned to state standards. We also provide a wide variety of teacher licensure testing services such as test development, administration, and scoring. We work in a collaborative environment and are passionate about education.
The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson works with multiple partners, including other Pearson groups, to develop and maintain highly scalable Web applications. These applications share information between Pearson groups, customers, and clients. Development and testing follow the agile methodology.
The primary duties of the Production Manager involve the performance of work that is directly related to the general business operations of the company which requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. Specifically, the Production Manager is responsible for all data production activities related to one or more testing programs. The Production Manager coordinates work with other departments, develops schedules for data production and ensures production work is completed accurately and on time for that program. The Production Manager will have responsibilities related to compliance with HEA and HEOA federal Title II reporting requirements for ES clients who authorize the company to collect and disseminate federally mandated data collection and reporting information. The Production Manager will also provide operational support for Standard Setting activities. The Production Manager reports to the Senior Production Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Exercises discretion and uses independent judgment to perform all data processing production tasks and scoring cycle functions for a given testing program, including: scoring examinations and producing reports related to teacher certification test programs.
• Exercises discretion and uses independent judgment to perform all start up, production and report QC tasks related to HEA and HEOA Title II reporting.
• Responsible for scheduling all work on a given program or area of responsibility so that it is accomplished accurately and on time.
• Attends project status meetings and interacts with other departments to respond to requests for Production Operation support.
• Implements procedures for ensuring accuracy of data, reports, and other materials produced.
• Apprises the Senior Production Manager and Director of Production Operations of ongoing activities.
• Responds to special requests for data and information.
• Maintains flexible work schedule dependent on ongoing Standard Setting activities.
• Travels on behalf of the company, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• Bachelor's Degree
• PC/network experience (MS Office products - Word/Excel etc)
• Background in computer operations
• Excellent analytical skills
• Attention to detail and proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks
