GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for overall maintenance of the Legacy Room including check-in and check-out of VIP Guests, general concierge service of in-house Guests and light cocktail and food service.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)
• Appropriate grooming and wearing of uniform;
• Responsible for sign in and out of individual monetary bank;
• Check-in of VIP Guests upon arrival;
• Collect cash and/or credit card for room charges;
• Adhere to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI Compliance).
• Post room charges, paid outs, and corrections;
• Check-out of VIP Guests upon departure;
• Balance posting activity at end of each shift;
• Prepare and complete a correct cash turn in sheet;
• Work closely with Casino Marketing and Casino Hosts in handling any problems or obtaining needed approvals.
• Assist VIP Guests in obtaining reservations for dining, golf and/or any other entertainment;
• Remain well versed and up-to-date with all in-house and regional events;
• Respond to complaints and special requests from Guests;
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure priority cleaning of VIP Guest rooms;
• Inspect rooms being used for VIP Guests, advise Housekeeping & Engineering of Guest room repairs;
• Review daily VIP arrival list and complete amenities sheets and any other special requests;
• Monitor rooms available and the blocking/pre-registration of Guests;
• Coordinate with Bell Captains for limo arrangements, floral deliveries, luggage handling or any other requests from VIP Guests;
• Perform basic bartending duties;
• Maintain cleanliness of Legacy Room;
• Assist in welcoming and training any new Legacy Room employees;
• Regular and predictable attendance;
• Perform other job related duties as may be assigned by management.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication skills with ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. Second language (Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese) preferred. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to multi-task and work under difficult situations. Ability to work in a high energy environment. Knowledge of room types available at Silver Legacy including styles of rooms, views, suites and penthouses along with capacities and amenities pertaining to various room types. Knowledge of player tracking system. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Guests and staff.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: High school education or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum six (6) months service at a 500+ casino hotel front desk. Previous concierge and or VIP Room experience preferred.
Certificate/License: None required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work may be performed in areas, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated. Constant contact with Guests and staff is necessary.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Position requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 2 flights of stairs. Requires mobility. Requires constant standing; frequent use of office equipment such as multi-line hotel telephone system, computer, calculator, fax machine, and copy machine; reaching up to 24 inches. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Requires eye/hand coordination, normal vision range and absence of color blindness.
