Under direct supervision the Suddenlink Inventory Control Specialist I maintains secure inventory storage and control. Performs duties associated with storage, shipping and receiving equipment and supplies.
ILLUSTRATIVE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values
• Safeguards company assets, issuing and receiving, tracking and disposal practices
• Controls the flow of equipment and supplies
• Requisitions materials and customer premise equipment for service, maintenance, network capital projects
• Pulls and confirms requisitions for pickup in warehouse sorted by group/contractor
• Inspects, tests and repairs equipment
• Maintains an adequate supply of converters for daily operation
• Files requisitions and receipts for auditing purposes
• Unloads trucks with incoming materials for inventory or projects
• Checks materials and equipment into inventory and file packing slips
• Transfers materials and equipment to other systems as requested
• Ships materials and equipment to vendors for repairs, tracks inventory maintenance
• Completes physical inventories periodically and maintains the inventory reports
• Assures warehouse and surrounding areas are neat and orderly at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Ability to communicate in person and by telephone
• Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Hand and finger dexterity to carry and to use tools and equipment as necessary
• Ability to work in stationary position seated or standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend and lift materials from floor level to a height to 6 feet
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other customary warehouse equipment
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics
• Skill in using a Windows-based computer
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Ability to comply with all Company implemented safety procedures
• Ability to use office equipment as it pertains to job (i.e. telephone, copier, fax, calculator and send and receive e-mail
• ·Skill in using small hand tools
• Appropriate valid driver’s license and driving record within Company standards
• Bi-lingual proficiency preferred in some locations
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Warehouse or inventory control experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Exposure to dust, dirt and cleaning solutions
• Exposure to fluctuating indoor temperatures
• Exposure to periodic high noise levels
• Work, including travel, outdoors in adverse weather conditions day or night
