Role Summary
Under the supervision of the Develop manager, the Integrator will be utilizing the testing tools available at Global Eagle to perform coverage on a variety of platforms for the many projects in development. This position is responsible for guaranteeing a level of quality for the end client, and to help the software development team to identify problems early in the process. This position will write test scripts, creating matrixes of test cases that will be covered for the variety of applications that are develop and maintain internal knowledge of the front-end and backend testing. The Integrator will participate in multiple product deliveries that need constant interactions with managers and developers. The individual will work in a dynamic and enthusiastic team and interact with several employees such as members of the development team.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and analyze client requirements;
• Use our automated software to build the games for integration
• Create and implement test plans;
• Estimate testing efforts;
• Design and implement test scripts, test cases in collaboration with other team members;
• Help raise the bar – finding new paths and technologies.
• Help identify root cause of issues found, assist development teams with troubleshooting issues;
• Maintain compatibility and compliance concerns and risks well communicated to the development teams.
• Track progress of current tasks, estimations of backlog and communicate time constraints;
• Communicate risk assessments and escalate issues;
• Utilize current tools for tracking bugs, requirements and documentation;
• Document beneficial knowledge and communicate them to internal teams when necessary;
• Standardize the reports send to participants.
Qualifications/Experience
• Minimum 1 to 4 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance Testing of software in a large scale software development environment
• Working knowledge of test management software and agile (JIRA)
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Ability to use manual, automated or partly automated testing approaches to implementing test cases
• Ability to recommend several different possible approaches to solving any assigned testing activities including the use of different combinations of testing tools and techniques;
• Strong communication skills
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Linux System Administration experience is an asset
• Understanding of Bash or batch scripts is an asset
• Bilingual is an asset
