Position Overview
This postion will involve analyzing, forecasting and procurement of various Canon Inc and Oce products related to machine equipment, accessories and software. The position will be responsible for inventory management of equipment in Canon's five regional warehouse locations (New Jersey, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and California). It also involves the registration of these products in multiple Canon systems (S21, Mercury and Canon America's Procurement (CAPS) so Canon customers can order these products through Canon intranet system. The position requires the person to work and make independent decisions related to product.
Responsibilities
• Collect and anaylze sales data to determine procurement quantities for Canon, Oce and third party vendor products.
• Maintain proper inventory levels in five regional warehouses and when necessary arrange warehouse transfers to prevent shortages.
• Update cost information for product in Canon S21 system.
• Collect the necessary information from Marketing and vendor to register product in Canon systems.
• Provide product information, updates and delivery information to the Regional Administrators regarding product.
• Travel to regional warehouses to inspect product and regional offices to attend meetings.
• Work with Logistics to receive product into the warehouse upon arrival in the United States.
• Create various reports related to inventory and sales and distribute to upper management.
• Excellent communication skills are required since the person will work with multiple internal departments and international and domestic vendors.
Qualifications
• College degree in Business Administration and/or Management, or relevant experience required.
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience related to inventory management is required.
• Strong communication skills are required, along with the ability to multi-task.
