The Senior Business Analyst will be tasked with the challenge of supporting business analytical initiatives for programs/projects related to Radio Programming and Playback Systems. This role will be key in ensuring we can establish project organization disciplines around requirements gathering in order to a). Vet out the business case for financial investment in Radio Programming projects and b). To ensure that stakeholder requirements are captured, agreed upon and measured. This person will work with stakeholders from the iHeartMedia Programming team, the iHeart Radio Broadcast team and in the teams on the ground in our markets to understand our programming strategy and goals as well as our terrestrial and digital product and service strategies.

When you encounter a problem you come up with multiple solutions, weigh the tradeoffs and efforts, identify the best path forward, and exercise good judgment to drive ahead. You're comfortable interacting with people across all levels of an organization and are comfortable interviewing stakeholders to ensure you capture the right information.
As the Senior Business Analyst – Programming and Playback Systems, you will:
• Elicit requirements from stakeholders using interviews, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, etc.
• Work closely with the product manager / stakeholders to document the project’s business requirements and support efforts.
• Deliver business requirements documentation and associated artifacts. Collaborate with stakeholders to get stakeholder buy-in of business requirements.
• Document As-is current state and develop future state requirements, workflow and process improvements.
• Use different forms of representation – narratives, value stream maps, flow charts, etc.
• Able to breakdown complex technical concepts to non-technical users
• Working closely with engineers on functional testing and validation of software product. Write test cases, record expected / actual results
• Facilitate our agile processes – grooming, prioritization, retrospectives, etc.
• Participate in product reviews, testing and validation
• Identify key success metrics, active monitoring of the key metrics and implement continuous improvement practices to meet business objectives
• Continually seek ways to optimize and improve all operational aspects of our IT solutions.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in Business Analyst / Program / Project management position in a software development organization
• 3+ years of Agile software practices – SCRUM teams, narratives, user stories, grooming, backlog prioritization, showcases, retrospectives
• Analytical and structured thinking / problem solving – understanding true root causes, effective counter measures and continuous improvement practices, attention to detail
• Hands on experience using agile tools – preferably Jira / Confluence
• Preferred experience with data analysis – basic SQL, data aggregation, etc.
• Data visualization and presentation tools experience is a plus – Tableau, charts, etc.
• Excellent presentation skills to a diverse audience group – technical and non-technical users
• Test planning, develop test suites and perform functional validation of software
• Excellent communication skills – verbal / non-verbal
• Highly organized, exceptional problem solving skills, ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Proven experience leading projects and delivering against commitments and timelines
• Ability to work independently, and strong desire to overcome challenges and results oriented
• Effective negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and meet business objectives
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in an operations or project management related position with a track record of successful execution
• 3+ years of experience in gathering business input and writing business requirements documentation with business implementation.
• Understanding of contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice.
• Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
• Familiarity with contemporary requirements engineering books and resources.
• Understanding of how to practice requirements engineering according to several software development life cycles in a team environment.
• Proficiency in systems thinking skills in order to see the interactions and relationships between the people, processes, and technology involved in an environment.
• Highly organized, exceptional problem solving skills, ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Proven experience leading projects and delivering against commitments and timelines
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, and strong desire to overcome challenges and results oriented
• Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
• Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering).

• The ideal candidate must also possess a flexible work style. Similar to a client service position, the scope and variety of work will frequently change depending on the current portfolio of projects. Some moderate, domestic travel (up to 30%) will be required given the expected stakeholder interactions and the hands-on nature of the analyses.
