Human Resources/Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Job summary:
Responsible for providing comprehensive support for day-to-day operations of Meredith’s Corporate Human Resources and Talent Acquisition groups including recruitment processes, maintaining employee records, on-boarding and orientation, HRIS transactions, travel and meeting arrangements, appointments and schedules, program administration, and special projects. Position often handles confidential and sensitive information, strict confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail is required.
Essential Job Functions:
65% - Support the Corporate and TA teams through all phases of hiring process, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, ordering background checks, and boarding/data collection for new hires. Includes securing copies of documents for employee relations, discipline matters, and compliance. Run weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and complete basic analysis. Maintain departmental org charts.
25% - Support the Corporate and TA teams administratively through preparing letters, memos, and correspondence, making travel arrangements, scheduling appointments and meeting rooms, and completing web expense reports. Arranging all travel details and coordinating appointments and meetings. Event coordination for on-site events. Office supply maintenance. Serve as the conduit for the team and building services, reception, and other internal support functions.
5% - Maintain the company’s reward and recognition program including new user set-up, deactivation of departing users, implementing vendor provided and supported upgrades, approving redemption requests, and communicating changes.
5% - Position actively assists with special projects, orientation schedules, HR staff calls, and other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education:
A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related is preferred. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Human Resources Assistant or Coordinator, or closely related work experience. Experience handling confidential information with discretion is required. Experience in a fast paced and dynamic creative environment is highly preferred. Experience with facets of the Talent Acquisition process is highly preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be highly organized and detailed with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, and be adaptable to changing needs. Requires a self-starter who can work independently and communicate long-distance (phone, email and cell phone) and locally with multiple managers. Proven experience with all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), plus Outlook for appointments and scheduling. Experience with an online hiring system, expense reports, etc. a plus. Experience with Visio is preferred. Must have excellent design skills in PowerPoint. Must be an effective communicator, orally and in writing.
