Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Storyful Americas HR Business Partner, the successful candidate will be part of a global HR team and be responsible for supporting the Storyful America’s day-to-day HR processes as well as providing support for global HR deliverables. The Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the global HR team, finance, legal, benefits and payroll teams and will build working relationships with Storyful Americas staff. This role will provide support in various aspects of HR including, but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, and global projects. This will be a great opportunity for someone eager to learn more about the nuts and bolts of the HR function and to enhance their current HR skill set.
Responsibilities
• Answer basic employee inquiries and escalate to HR Business Partner as needed
• Maintain employee files and data to ensure proper recordkeeping and in compliance with local laws
• Process all Workday transactions including but not limited to hires, terminations, transfers, compensation changes, one-time payment requests, manager changes, personal information changes, etc.
• Assist with recruitment process including opening Workday requisitions, posting job descriptions, scheduling, processing candidates through each phase of the Workday recruitment cycle and maintenance of candidate correspondence
• Assist in the full onboarding process of employees: including creation of offer letters, facilitating background checks, tracking Workday onboarding paperwork, coordinating and facilitating day one onboarding session, sending out and collating onboarding survey feedback
• Assist in the full offboarding process including the preparation of exit interview documents, calculation of vacation accrual payout, processing terminations in Workday
• Provide written and verbal employment verifications when necessary
• Assist the Global HR Team with administrative functions related to the roll out of global initiatives such as performance management process, engagement survey launches, trainings, compensation process
• Foster positive working relationships with all staff and escalate employee issues as required; assist HR Business Partner with documentation of employee issues.
• Assist with payroll process including adhering to payroll deadlines and auditing bi-weekly payroll in a timely fashion
• Assist with additional, global projects, as needed, noting some matrix reporting lines into the Talent Acquisition Lead (global) leading all reporting ops/onboarding and International Head of HR as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
• One to three years’ experience in Human Resources administrative or coordinator role
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, most importantly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Workday proficiency
• Knowledge of federal/California state employment laws ideal
• High level of integrity; sensitive to confidential information
• Attention to detail and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality
• Enthusiastic; genuine interest in the HR function and hungry to learn
• Proactive and outside the box thinker
• Good judgement a must
