Summary:
The HR Generalist assists in the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:, subject matter expert in the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) - Workday, employee relations and policy interpretation, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment law.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
• Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting and internal auditing best practices;
• Facilitate employee orientation, development, and training;
• Review, edit and ensure updated policy development and documentation;
• Employee relations and investigations;
• Site-wide committee facilitation;
• Prepare site level employee communication;
• Compensation and benefits administration;
• Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health;
• Employee services and counseling;
• Safety of the workforce;
• Development of workforce;
• Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance;
• Personal ongoing development;

The Human Resources Generalist helps to lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of the workforce.
Education & Knowledge Desired
The Human Resources Generalist coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs; reports to the Human Resources Manager, and assists and advises supervisors and managers on Human Resources policies and best practices. Candidate must have knowledge in Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disability Act (ADA) Worker Compensation and Unemployment and other current state laws and regulations.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks regularly throughout the day; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
