Job Summary:
Oversees all online content activities for assigned area (Hartford – New Haven – Poughkeepsie)
Responsibilities:
• Lead for website content
• Coordinates with on air talent, programming and marketing to obtain new content according to the established site schedule and editorial policy setting the direction of online content for cohesion between on-air, online and social.
• Devises unique, creative ideas for new features, content and enhancements that advance objectives and strategic plan.
• Updates webpages, social sites and brand email communication
• Leverages web content management systems to track changes to facilitate continuity and minimize accessing inoperative links.
• Monitors website analytics/metrics (e.g. number of visits, duration on site, product sales, and other key data points) that drive marketing efforts.
• Monitors and updates staff on social media guidelines and best practices
• Provides feedback to marketing peers regarding which strategies are most successful.
Qualifications
• Proficient in using Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Final Cut and Adobe Premiere preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms, Google Analytics, or similar tools
• Ability to learn news systems quickly
• Able to work quickly and efficiently, delivering high quality results under the pressure of deadlines, with routinely quick turn-around times
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail, and high work standards
• Flexibility; able to shift gears quickly
• Can work collaboratively with a team, independently, and under close direction
• Excellent oral and written communications and editing skills
