U.S. News & World Report is seeking a motivated, experienced, SEO Analyst for our consumer-oriented automotive site, cars.usnews.com. This position is based in our Washington, D.C. office.

As a member of the U.S News Best Cars team, you will develop and implement our SEO strategy for traffic growth that helps drive the future of our business. You will be a key member of a fast-growing organization that is goal-oriented and re-shaping our future.
The primary responsibilities of the SEO Analyst will be to champion our organic traffic growth through smart, actionable search tactics and to create the future SEO strategy for the U.S. News Best Cars site. You’ll be behind the wheel of our analysis and reporting and be the resident expert on Search algorithm updates and industry trends. Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for analyzing, identifying and managing onsite and offsite SEO programs and organic search opportunities
• Develop and deliver clear SEO KPIs and attain improved SERP rankings and traffic growth
• Create and implement specific page-level and site-wide SEO recommendations
• Execute strategic SEO activities across keyword research, link-building, page indexing, crawling and site structure
• Work closely with Product, Editorial and IT departments to drive implementation of SEO recommendations
• Create detailed and routine analysis and reporting of SEO KPIs
• Routinely perform technical site analysis and compile audits and best practices
• Provide analysis of competitor sites and identify areas of opportunity
• Be the expert on all search engine algorithm updates and SEO industry trends, tools and technology
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably Business major or similar, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in an SEO-focused position with proven results
• Advanced knowledge of SEO methodologies and best practices
• Experience with reporting/tracking tools, SEO and optimization platforms and data-driven SEO analysis
• Proven success in creating and implementing SEO plans and strategies
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics
