The Media Automation Products team offers high impact roles that require innovative thinkers who want to explore new technologies in the automation space. We need a Project Manager / Business Analyst who has 2+ years experience working with a technology organization. You must be a self-starter who can understand and challenge both business and technical concepts.
• Stakeholder communication
◦ Establish relationships with stakeholders
◦ Act as liaison between business and IT
◦ Understand customer need through constant interaction with Product Owners and stakeholders
◦ Be proficient at communications across all levels of expertise in business and IT
◦ Manage appropriate stakeholder participation in story reviews
◦ Communicate relevance of new technology scoping and implementation to business stakeholders
• Manage Requirements / Backlog / Roadmap for team
◦ Gather requirements
◦ Understand technical concepts and be able to translate those into requirements and actionable user stories
◦ Look across disparate business units’ requirements and identify where IT team can maximize efficiencies through shared resource tools
◦ Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize roadmap
◦ Translate and simplify requirements
◦ Create capability and feature level backlog which include business requirements and acceptance criteria
◦ Work with IT team to create technical user story backlog including IT requirements, acceptance criteria, and tasks
◦ Perform continuous roadmap review and refinement
◦ Gather feedback at feature review demos and incorporate into backlog
◦ Work with System Architect to understand critical new technologies and include investigative work as user stories in backlog.
• Align projects with strategic direction of company
◦ Uphold and deliver on strategic direction of Dow Jones business and IT
◦ Continually keep the value and purpose of projects in front of the team
◦ Understand customer needs and validate solutions; you are the internal voice of the Customer
