Manager, Digital Integrated Marketing- MTV
Overview and Responsibilities
The MTV Manager of Integrated Marketing is a dynamic and creative thinker who can conceptualize and implement social and video distribution strategies tied to convergent marketing programs across MTV’s music channels. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working hand-in-hand with sales and content/production to develop and execute best-in-class, social-first marketing solutions for advertising partners.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Work closely with Director and support staff to architect cross-platform marketing programs rooted in digital and social that elevate integrated marketing and advertising sales initiatives across a portfolio of key national clients
• Through strategic thinking, help MTV follow and translate industry insights and pop culture trends to social monetization tactics
• Work closely with MTV’s social and digital teams to identify ways to leverage digital and social platforms to reach and benefit advertising clients
• Liaise with Integrated Marketing counterparts, sales and inter-department members (i.e. editorial, music & talent, digital production, legal, events, etc.) to customize sponsorship packages and conceptualize ideas with a focus on digital/social video distribution based on MTV’s programming assets, consumer behaviors, insights and marketplace intelligence that align with client RFPs
• Key focus on the management and execution of said sponsor marketing programs as the main point of contact for timelines, budgets, production shoots, and overseeing content design and creative, etc.
• Track delivery, making optimization recommendations and capture campaign performance measurements in collaboration with research departments and social teams to analyze and present in wrap up reports/presentations
Basic Qualifications
• 5-7 years marketing experience within media/entertainment industry, digital/social publishers, promotions/advertising /creative agency or branded entertainment/production company
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• A creative thinker - understands clients and can uncover revenue opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as design aesthetic to effectively articulate information regarding promotional programs to internal departments and external partners
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Extremely detail oriented
• A great communicator and highly skilled relationship builder across a variety of personalities
• Understanding for how to apply marketing strategy to creative ideas and campaign activation across all platforms (linear, digital, mobile, social and event marketing) with a focus in digital and social media
• Understanding of community management and fan engagement on social platforms and experience writing social copy with a platform intentional approach
• Understanding of the entire advertising ecosystem and agencies supporting ecosystem
• Awareness of linear and digital platforms and direction of our industry and Viacom business goals
• Knowledge of digital distribution, earned media, paid social products, and social media
• Understanding of video production, design, and the process of producing branded content
• Familiarity with Adobe creative suite, Photoshop and editing ability a plus
• Avid user of social media and passion for pop culture and the MTV brand
