Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on the development and lead the execution of annual tournament Marketing Plans for multiple tournaments
• Lead the creative development of, and storytelling behind tournament specific and IMG Golf Events sales materials and collateral.
• Lead the design and ongoing management of ancillary elements such as on-site branding/signage, video display content, tickets/hospitality credentials, tournament guides and promotional tools§
• Liaise with internal creative services to maximize resources and deliverables within Golf and its properties
• Support Tournament Directors in management of marketing & PR budgets for each event, including spend, attendee and revenue forecasting, and track against yearly targets and other strategic KPI’s
• Advance forward-thinking initiatives designed to expand equity of and revenue for professional tournaments and stakeholders (title sponsors, sanctioning bodies, event owners, charitable partners, etc)
• Participate in the development of actionable insights that form our marketing strategy, including primary and secondary research, market intelligence, evolving digital and mobile behavior, knowledge of the competitive landscape
• Actively participate in the go-to-market process with cross-functional groups including event operations, sponsorship sales, PR, digital, internal and external designers, ticketing software providers
• Use insights to shape differentiated product/experience, improve sponsorship offerings, and market-clearing pricing decisions – in collaboration with event, sales, corporate marketing and yield management executives
• Manage development and execution of event-related digital platforms including websites, mobile apps, social media profiles, influencer programs, entry mechanisms and on-site engagement solutions
• Use analytics to monitor, evaluate and optimize marketing and communications strategies and effectively communicate those results to event leaders and stakeholders
• Manage relevant external suppliers, media partners, stakeholders & agencies; contracts, delivery and review
• Manage photography and onsite content creation to meet agreed upon objectives
• Oversee and protect the brand and brand guidelines for each event, recommending and executing brand enhancements and extensions where necessary
• Own the post-event consumer feedback process including event questionnaires, analysis, and internal communication
• Spearhead the strategy and integration of various CSR and/or philanthropic related activities (women’s leadership initiatives, military appreciation programming, charitable messaging, etc)
Key Results Areas:
• Enhance creative presentation while improving output rate
• Maximize revenue to IMG Golf Events both at the individual and aggregate level
• Build the prestige, profile, and sustainable brand equity of each event
• Manage marketing spend within agreed budget that maximizes stakeholder results
• Provide tangible thought leadership across events and geographic regions
• Affect innovation / change within a traditional sport
Essential Job Knowledge and Competencies:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a multichannel marketing and/or creative services role, with proven success
• Experience in a matrixed organization with a demonstrated bias for action and change
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and produce high quality work
• Ability to work non-traditional hours and weekends; ability to travel
• Ability to engage with teams in multiple time zones
• Working knowledge of revenue management and product pricing
• Proficiency with creative softwares including, but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, InDesign, PPT, Flash, HTML, Javascript, etc.
