Job Summary
CenturyLink is seeking a Project Manager III – Federal defines initial project based on customer requirements to include, schedule planning and implementation, customer onboarding and relationship management between internal and external stakeholders. This position will be responsible for systems in support of CenturyLink’s Government and commercial Managed Security Services platforms addressing .gov and critical infrastructure protection missions.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership and coordination for assigned projects using a matrix team concept
• Coordinate and direct various internal and external stakeholder meetings
• Manage multiple customer relationships for service issues
• Provides inputs to monthly deliverables
• Manages and coordinates projects tasks and responsibilities from design through as-built delivery
• Performs Quality Control (QC) on documentation for assigned projects
• Identifies all problem areas/risks on projects and discusses with Team Members and others as needed; implement mitigation strategies for risk
• Keeps detailed records of daily work/project activities for future reference
• Ensures the successful completion of customer project requirements
• Coordinates subcontractors, materials, inspectors, tools and equipment to complete projects on schedule and within budget
• Identifies problems with project processes and recommends/implements solutions to resolve or improve processes
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support program goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Draft and submit budget proposals based on project scope for resources and equipment, and recommend budget changes where necessary.
• Develop and manage integrated master project schedule in conjunction with project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Develop and present detailed monthly schedule analysis and schedule risk reports; progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Develop best practices and tools for project tracking, execution, and management.
Qualifications
• Required: Top Secret Security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years’ direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiencies working with spreadsheets and multi-level/multi-dependency MS Project schedules.
• Background in telecommunications and Inside Plant/Data Centers
• Background in government documentation program deliverables
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Ability to take guidance and-work independently-to complete tasks.
