Job Description
The Opportunity
Premion, the new “Over-the-Top” (“OTT”) advertising and media business, seeks a Financial Analyst. Major responsibilities include reporting, analyzing, and modeling financial and operational data. Premion is a high growth division of TEGNA.
Responsibilities
• Directly supports the Director of Financial Planning and Strategy
• Provides reporting/analysis on sales and financial forecasting. Develops and produces revenue reports and forecasts with KPIs for OTT advertising revenue from multiple sales channels.
• Provides insights for both internal and external clients on revenue trends and performance.
• Collaborate with Tegna Corporate Finance, Accounting, Billing and Audit teams to design, implement and manage best practices for finance operations.
• Develop and distribute metric-based reporting dashboards to evaluate sales performance.
• Provide revenue and product cost support during closing periods.
• Create analysis on key operational metrics and offer actionable recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Support client invoicing operations.
• Ability to extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions.
• Performs ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or an applicable analytical field of study.
• 2 to 5 years of analytical experience in a finance role, operations or any related analytical role.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and strong modeling skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Ability to effectively solve problems and address opportunities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, goal oriented and results focused, and the ability to process transactions while meeting tight deadlines
• Maintain a professional presence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Tableau, WideOrbit or Freewheel desired.
