SUMMARY:
Responsible for various cost accounting duties. These include production reporting, end of month closing, account reconciliation, forecasting and budgeting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Daily Functions:
A. Research questions related to manufacturing cost and statistical data.
B. Prepare reports and analysis for Production Managers.
C. Review and correct information in View (Cost Accounting) system for forecast.
D. Create and distribute production forecast volume reports.
2. Monthly Functions:
A. Analyze Plant Departments’ trends and prepare accruals and deferrals.
B. Prepare Financial Summary, Monthly P&L and Monthly Hours Reports.
C. Reconcile Capital Project.
D. Coordinate and submit monthly forecasts.
E. Complete Account Reconciliations.
F. Organize Production Headcount Analysis.
G. Manage Monthly analysis and tracking of statistical and cost improvements
H. Reconcile external game cost.
3. Quarterly and Yearly Functions:
A. Prepare and submit yearly budget.
B. Review Quarterly P&L Reports with Managers.
C. Prepare and analyze Quarterly Forecast vs Budget Report.
4. Analysis Projects:
A. Collect and analyze data for specific accounting changes and potential changes. Ex ASC842
B. Plan and complete particular projects within Instant Products.
C. Cross train within other functions of the department.
D. Other duties and projects as required.
Position Requirements
SPECIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:
1. Ability to communicate and work with all levels of Management.
2. Organize and conduct meetings.
3. Ability to manage the peaks and valleys of workflow requirements throughout the year, especially during monthly close, forecast periods and budget season.
4. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred.
5. 2+ years experience performing cost accounting functions.
6. Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft Excel and Access required.
