Job Description:
Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to help drive our student strategy - creating new products and initiatives to further our mission to become the foremost membership for ambitious students. The role will report into the Marketing Director, Education & Students.
The Marketing Manager will create and oversee marketing briefs, manage global multi channel marketing campaigns and own key partnerships to drive WSJ student membership growth. They will be a key contact for the news department and help grow the Wall Street Journal product offering for students.
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years experience working in marketing, delivering successful global campaigns and manage multiple agencies to drive results and brand affinity, ideally in emerging technologies to the Gen Z audience.
Responsibilities
• To support the Marketing Director by managing global student marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness amongst students resulting in Wall Street Journal subscriptions
• To own strategic brand partnerships for the student membership team and work with the WSJ+ team (our loyalty program) to ensure the student base are being represented.
• To analyze market trends and competitors to create ideas which shape the student strategy
Qualifications/Requirements
• A minimum of three years experience working in marketing, with a focus on briefing, executing and monitoring marketing campaigns
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business
• An interest in media, particularly in emerging technologies and trends in the marketing industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confident presenter
• Creative thinker, ability to provide feedback to agencies to produce work in line with an agreed brief and objectives.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment
