Overview and Responsibilities
Within the Program Management Office (PMO), this position is responsible for the overall management and effective performance of the Enterprise PMO with accountability to provide high quality project, program, and process management services that enable and support the successful execution of our organizational strategy and priorities. The incumbent will also be responsible for defining the strategy and setting the direction and execution for the PMO which also includes the agile coaching across Viacom.
• Lead, direct, and be accountable for the overall governance of complex projects directly affecting the organizations strategy to meet technology and business requirements on-time and within budget
• Ensure PMO processes are aligned to the organizational annual strategic planning process
• Establish and facilitate effective project management governance and oversight
• Work with reporting team to ensure project data analytics are built to sufficiently give insight into compliance with standards, overall project performance and coaching assignments
• Provide recommendations for reporting to ensure measurements of project performance are aligned to industry best practices
• Provide functional, technical and process leadership for teams delivering on given initiatives
• Establish professional standards for project management - using industry innovations, best practices, standards, methodologies, and key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Provide timely feedback via Project Review Board when new projects come up for review
• Cultivate professional relationships with key organizational leaders, based on trust and respect
• Create organizational credibility with respect to all project management deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes
• Manage business process and project management staff, establish performance expectations and standards, serve as a role-model and provide leadership direction to PMs throughout project lifecycle
• Identify and prioritize organizational opportunities based on capacity data
• Oversee and govern PMO tooling including JIRA, Confluence and Workfront
• Stakeholder in quarterly planning process and ensure projects go through Intake Process prior to PI Planning and that the outputs of PI Planning are captured in the systems
• Provide leadership within Agile Coaching organization
• Provide leadership in terms of evaluating and reporting coaching metrics to continually drive and measure quality
• Conduct team and Program level assessments
• Coach resources as Subject Matter Expert in DevOps, Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Contribute to the evolving maturity of Agile in the enterprise
• Compilation and enhancements to training materials
• Apply risk management assessment in project planning / ongoing execution and resolves issues and conflicts associated with management of multiple complex high-priority projects
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years project management experience including management of large complex projects with multi-million dollar budgets and large teams of resources
• Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall as well as a solid understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) concepts
• Stong knowledge of Excel and highly skilled in PowerPoint and Microsoft Visio
• Knowledge of Jira, Workfront, Confluence, Excel and other Project Management Software Tools
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
• MBA preferred
• CSM/CSPO preferred
• PMP is preferred
• Strong knowledge and passion about Agile principles and practices - solid foundation and expertise to offer in this role

• Demonstrated experience in financial management principles as they relate to project management and delivery of a business case
• Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources
• Expert problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
