Description
The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking an Training Administrator to be based at our corporate office in Cincinnati, OH. This person manages the interface with learning participants and helps oversee all of the operational aspects of the Learning & Leadership Development function. This role is responsible for the L&LD products and systems (e.g., Learning Management System, online classroom, eLearning modules, printing and publishing), is a liaison to IT, sources and gathers data, interprets the data to identify relevant trends and business impacts, and effectively communicates these trends and analysis driving to informed decisions. The Training Administrator also serves as the technical knowledge expert and key advisor on complex projects within the function.
Key activities:
• Provides key input and serves as the subject matter expert in the direction and administration of L&LD products and systems such as the Learning Management System, the online classroom platform, eLearning modules, the evaluation platform, and new ones yet to be implemented.
• Explores new online learning technologies to determine how they can support L&LD goals and objectives.
• Coordinate training rooms, meals, and special events related to training activities; oversee production and shipment of materials for training events.
• Analyzes, communicates and recommends technical solutions to meet end user requirements for L&LD products.
• Identifies new solutions and technologies to fit L&LD's business strategy.
• Leads data analysis and reporting work. Gathers, analyzes, and communicates operational metrics to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Ensures integrity of business data.
• Implements online delivery solutions that support L&LD projects business
• Collaborates to effectively manage the execution of online deliveries providing online delivery application support, problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Manages training rooms (virtual / brick-and-mortar), classes, schedules, and other related training events.
• Track the training budget.
• Manage class registration / enrollment process.
• Works with vendors to manage the upgrade of existing products and/or the implementation of new products.
Education & Experience/Certifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• 1-3 years working with / administering learning management, evaluation, and reference platforms
• 1-3 years in a training organization preferred
• Training/Learning & Development experience preferred

• Self-directed and able to handle multiple tasks at one time
• Demonstrates good judgment and able to make decisions to support the business
• Excellent communication skills -- can communicate to all levels of the organization and must be capable of interacting/communicating with individuals at both technical and non-technical levels
• Experience in developing and consulting on business reporting relative to a training organization
• Strong project leadership and decision making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix-managed environment
• Handle simultaneous and complex project developments
