Candidate is responsible for the basic day-to-day HR functional activities such as: Workers Compensation, Benefit Administration, File Maintenance, Labor Relations, Employee Communications and other HR related areas. Candidate will prepare and analyze a variety of different reports and will be required to perform statistical analysis. Candidate is responsible for completion of unemployment compensation paperwork and for completing other requests for employee information. Candidate will represent the Company at unemployment compensation hearings and at other types of employment related hearings. Candidate provides direction to departmental managers on handling employees’ disciplinary issues. Candidate investigates and provides resolution to employee concerns.
Working together with the Human Resources Coordinator, may administer the licensing process for all personnel. Duties include, but are not limited to: setting up applicants on the SLOTSlink program, maintaining records as required by the PCGB and provide tracking and status reports upon request. Individual also coordinates the scheduling of fingerprinting in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police. Candidate may assist Recruiter with the hiring process. Candidate will also assist in developing and/or delivering training programs as needed. Candidate is responsible for all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Two (2) to four (4) years of Human Resource experience required. Candidate must maintain a current working knowledge of all State, Federal and local laws that pertain to Human Resource functions to ensure organizational compliance. Candidate must ensure that these laws and regulations are represented in HR policies, procedures, objectives and goals. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, ADP and Report Smith are required. Candidate must be physically able to lift up to 10 pounds, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation. Candidate must be a team player and be able to communicate with all levels of the organization. Candidate must have a proven ability to interact courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, customers, vendors and associates. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the PGCB.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Four year degree from a college or university required, Human Resource Management or related field preferred. Five (5) years or more of direct experience in Human Resources will substitute for the degree.
