Position Summary
The Sports Media Group is seeking an Associate Developer to support the network’s digital sports properties. Our technology team implements and maintains a large portfolio of websites and web applications delivering a variety of sports related content.
The Associate Developer will work on cutting-edge, highly-scalable sites that deliver high-quality sports content, and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing these destinations, while helping to develop innovative new products.

Tools and Technologies:
The Sports Media Group runs a polyglot environment utilizing a number of technologies:
• Stack: WordPress VIP, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Stylus, React.js, Angular, Python, Flask, Tornado
• Platform: WordPress VIP, Amazon Web Services, Docker, LXC
• Data: MariaDB, SQLAlchemy, NoSQL databases, REST APIs
• CI and CD: CircleCI, GitHub, PHPUnit, tox, AWS
Responsibilities Breakdown:
As an Associate Developer, you will have the following responsibilities:
• 70% - Developing assigned stories and bugs, testing reviewing and documenting the stories completed.
• 10%- Troubleshoot operations issues as required
• 10%- Integrate internal as well as third-party APIs and components
• 10%- Document solutions to institutionalize knowledge for the development, operational, support, and end user communities
Required Skills:
The Associate Developer is expected to work effectively as an autonomous member of our team. We are looking for:
• Minimum one year web development and integration experience
• Experience with three or more of the following technologies: WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Stylus, React.js Angular, Python, Flask, Tornado
• Demonstrated professional development experience developing and consuming APIs and web services
• Practical knowledge of software development methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
