Overview
The Senior Business Analyst’s role will focus around core product, scheduling and licensing metadata. He/She will liaise with a wide spectrum of the user community including repertoire creative centers, digital supply chain, licensing, back office administrative and IS&T Project Management that create and are affected by the data in these systems. The role is to help support our current operating landscape as well as gathering requirements in a broad context for development purposes and channeling to the appropriate IT team. Support functions also entail follow through on new features, training, data conversions, migrations, implementations and rollouts.

Responsibilities
• Prepare functional requirements by consulting with different business units and other IS&T staff members
• Provide general support to users and act as a liaison point for issues raised by the business
• Provide alternative options where appropriate including non-technical solutions and advise on existing system processes where required
• Coordinate training activities
• Test new functional requirements when implemented in test environments and facilitate user acceptance testing when necessary
• Facilitate resolution of day-to-day core product, scheduling and licensing related IT issues
• Fosters and promotes a positive working relationship between assigned functional area and IT as well as within IT
• Act as liaison between the technical development teams and the business to track issues, bugs and new function requests
• Other Special Projects as necessitated by business demands
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in meta data environments
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or technical course of study
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Creativity and problem solving in a complex, unstructured, fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively present information, interact with, and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees
• Superior listening skills, with the ability to summarize verbal communication and discussions into relevant written materials and documentation
• Ability to remain objective and calm in difficult situations
• Ability to work effectively as a member of multiple teams
• Good time management skills
• Proven training and presentation skills
• Self motivated and highly organized
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work outside normal business hours
• Ability to travel
• Prior experience in music/media industries and consulting preferred
• Basic sql knowledge preferred
