Reporting to Marketing Director, Content Products, Education, you will be responsible for marketing products in Elsevier’s Nursing and / or Health Professions disciplines. This role will partner with the Content Strategy and Sales teams to drive revenue growth through effective product strategy, sales enablement, and other strategic product marketing efforts.
As a member of the product marketing team, you will:
• Analyze the market and competitive landscape using existing and new market data to create product marketing strategies that ensure our products meet existing and emerging customer needs;
• Develop and execute yearly product marketing strategic plans;
• Create, update, and maintain product information that supports the efforts of multiple sales channels;
• Educate sales organizations on new products;
• Collaborate with content teams on product development & market positioning;
• Contribute to pricing strategy and participate in pricing and sales forecasting activities;
• Track and analyze results of sales enablement efforts;
• Support sales efforts to close business;
• Partner with integrated / campaign, digital, and creative services marketing teams to execute marketing strategy to drive awareness, demand, retention, and acquisition;
• Ensure revenue attainment for assigned disciplines.
• This position calls for 10 - 15% travel to assigned professional conventions, sales meetings, and to include opportunities to interact directly with customers.
Must have a B.S./B.A. in marketing or related field. Candidates should also have more than 1 year in a publishing industry position or at least 3 years of experience as a marketing professional, preferably in a business-to-business setting. You should have a strong understanding of marketing principles and tactics, and have proven ability to execute on plan. You should be proficient with Microsoft Office software and comfortable using database software. You should have experience working with a wide variety of departments / stakeholders and be able to demonstrate individual initiative. Advanced written communication and unparalleled interpersonal skills, as well as keen attention to detail are expected. You should be very comfortable giving presentations to both large and small groups.
