JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Corporate Communications facilitates and oversees corporate communication strategies to support Eldorado Resorts Inc.’s business goals and objectives. The position provides PR and communications support to maximize media exposure across all mediums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for developing and overseeing corporate communications strategies to support Eldorado Resorts Inc’s business goals and objectives.
• Develop communications initiatives, cultivate external media relationships and maximize opportunities across media, PR and social media/digital engagement channels
• Write and develop press releases, executive communications, talking points, presentations, background materials, marketing materials, internal memos, announcements, fact sheets, company chronology
• Provide support to Human Resources for internal communications strategy to relay information to Team Members throughout the company
• Effectively communicate organizational change initiatives to internal and external audiences through appropriate channels
• Work closely with senior executive Team Members on a diverse range of projects
• Collaborate closely with property marketing teams and external marketing agencies to ensure accuracy in messaging and to maintain brand standards for consistency and tone
• Foster a collaborative, proactive approach to enhance relationships with our internal marketing teams and external agencies to integrate PR, social media and digital platforms into ERI’s consumer brand messaging
• Enhance the brand perception and awareness of the company (nationally / globally)
• Manage external PR agency initiatives, message development, announcement strategies to ensure a consistent stream of company news to position the company as an industry leader and provide a comprehensive approach and unified messaging for our marketing influence channels
• Manage day-to-day journalist requests
• Act as media spokesperson as assigned
• Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires outstanding professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of positive media relations and proactive leadership abilities
Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Deadline-oriented approach essential
PowerPoint, Keynote presentation experience
Excellent collaborator with equal ability to take initiative as a self-starter while keeping key stakeholders apprised of issues, progress and opportunities
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in communications, PR, or marketing-related field, or equivalent experience required.
7+ years strong communications/PR experience in communications/PR marketing role.
