OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary function of the Senior Financial Analyst includes tracking, analyzing and reporting on the financial activities of Fox Networks Group (FNG) Shared Services. This position performs the close process for the FNG Shared Services overhead departments by booking necessary journal entries; prepare monthly and quarterly financial packages, including monthly variance analysis. Provide department head with account analysis as requested.
Responsibilities
• Consolidate regional submissions of Cash Flow statement/narrative, ensuring information is correct and accurately loaded into 21CF cash flow application.
• Cash Flow statement to FNG and 21CF
• Consolidate and review PL rollforwards submitted by the regions and prepare consolidated narratives for submission to FNG
• Assist with Quarter End reporting to 21CF, which includes but is not limited to financial package, rollforwards, restricted cash reports, capex reports, revenue analyses, Entertainment Program drivers and other supplemental reports.
• Prepare and upload affiliate subscriber data into the global distribution application and report on global subscriber information.
• Prepare and report the interest flash for all international regions.
• Assist Tax with data collection from PS
• Assist with Month/Quarter-End Accounting close as needed
• Assist in financial reporting responsibilities and ad hoc requests.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required
• Minimum 3 year of previous general ledger/accounting experience with an emphasis on analysis of variances
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Able to independently communicate with various levels of management in FNG
• A proven ability to grasp technical accounting concepts and apply to the company’s transactions
• Advanced- level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office is required
• Good organizational and project management skills
• Able to work overtime as needed
• The ability to work effectively under changing priorities and deadlines is essential.
